Hi Shelley, what a lovely blog you have here! Sounds like you do have a great life - managing appartments sounds a lot more appealing than teaching. I started my teaching career in Milan so I know how difficult it can be.
hi shelley! love reading you rblog! my husband, 11yr old daughter and I are comng to your wondrful city and are looking to stay in the Trastevere. Do you have any of the apartments you mentioned available for about 3 nights from Oct 26/27, 2006. hope to hear from you soon! sbatesdux@hotmail.com susie
In 2001, my one-month "Roman Holiday" to take a break between jobs in the US and study Italian in Italy became a way of life after I fell in love with both this city and my husband, who I met the first day I arrived. (It happens when you're not looking!) After stints teaching English as a second language and directing a US university study abroad center, I moved back to the States for 3 years, had three kids, and eventually came back to Rome. Looks like I'm here to stay. Join me at my new blog, unamericanaaroma.com.
